Our Regenerative Agriculture Program
What the world needs now
Everything we do begins with a kernel of intent and a desire to make a genuine impact, laddering up to our mission to enhance the quality of life and standard of health. As the leading flour miller in the U.S., we know how passionate consumers are about sustainably made products. Working with farmers every day, we also see how agriculture plays a critical role in impacting climate change. That’s why we’re investing in the next generation of farming to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the health of our crops, soil and environment.
We're inviting you to participate in our regenerative agriculture program by sponsoring acres of land using regenerative, continuous improvement methods. Together, we can support farming practices to help protect and improve the environment. Let's create a more sustainable future, generation after generation.
“The health of the planet is absolutely a part of our mission.”
– Angie Goldberg, Chief Growth Officer

The next generation to support food, farmers, consumers and brands
Regenerative agriculture is about strengthening relationships—the relationship of the land to the environment, the grower to the manufacturer and the manufacturer to the consumer. And Ardent Mills is at the heart of all these relationships. We see our position and know that it’s our mission to help everyone protect our planet and create a brighter future for the generations to come.
“We are the connection point between the consumers, our customers and what happens on the farm,” – Shrene White, VP of ESG & Grower Relations
Consumers
Consumers want products that align to their personal sustainability goals.
49% of consumers report “foods grown using sustainable regenerative agriculture practices” is important to their dietary goals and priorities.1
Manufacturers
Manufacturers want to meet growing consumer demands and are looking for help achieving their sustainability goals.
55% of CPG market growth is delivered by sustainability-marketed products.2
Farmers
Farmers want to build a sustainable business and leave a legacy for the next generation.
“If we hadn’t evolved into where we are now through the sustainability and regenerative ag [program], I don’t think this would have been a viable farm,” Tim Benoit, Dusty Creek Land & Cattle.

How it works
We help your organization sponsor acres of land that utilize regenerative, continuous improvement practices. You can sponsor fields that grow wheat, chickpea, barley or sorghum, while also gaining the opportunity to connect directly with the farmers. Our program helps support a more resilient crop and data-driven supply chain, which can contribute directly toward your organization’s sustainability goals—while giving you an opportunity to tell consumers about your sustainability practices.
What to expect
The manufacturer's step 1: Engage
Manufacturers enroll in our program to sponsor acres of land to begin learning about regenerative agriculture goals of improvement.
The manufacturer's step 2: Measure
Data is collected for the crop season to understand continuous improvement on the farm and pursue comprehensive impact analysis.
The manufacturer's step 3: Improve
Year-over-year data is used to make improvements on the farm with third party certification. 2-5 years of data is impactful.
The farmer's step 1: Enroll
Farmers enroll and gain incentives per acre and get access to our team of consultants.
The farmer's step 2: Establish
Establish a baseline of measurements and determine opportunities for improvement that will give farmers the strongest chance for success in implementing regenerative agriculture practices.
The farmer's step 3: Enhance
Run solutions projects with the goal of implementing changes on the farm where possible, to reduce carbon in the farm management system and increase carbon in the soil.
