Pulses are the key ingredient in a plant-based product future
The consumer shift to plant-based foods is showing no signs of slowing down, and pulses are at the center of it all. Boasting protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals, pulses are the dry, edible seeds of legumes, including chickpeas, lentils, dry peas and beans. They are not only nutritious for consumers but may also have a net-positive environmental impact on the farms on which they are grown. Pulses are versatile whole or when used as flours in pizza, pasta and baked goods, and appeal to the environmentally minded, plant-based seeking consumer. Our chickpeas are grown, cleaned and processed in the Palouse area of Washington state, where we have been the industry leader in chickpeas for five generations.
